US Election 2024: Crypto Industry Wants Trump to Win and Dissolve SEC
The cryptocurrency industry is hoping that the upcoming US presidential election will put someone in the White House with a softer approach to law enforcement, thus putting an end to the long battles with the Wall Street police chief.
Former President Donald Trump recently warmed to the $2.5 trillion cryptocurrency industry, too invite supporters at a Bitcoin-focused fundraiser on July 27. Although the Republican candidate criticized cryptocurrencies while in office, his recent comments have been more favorable —and lawyers expect that if it wins, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission will stop pursuing the digital assets industry so aggressively.
