Trump reaffirms promise to end Biden’s ‘war on encryption’ at Wisconsin rally
US Republican presidential candidate donald trump promised to “end Joe Biden’s war on encryption” at a rally in Racine, Wisconsin, on June 18.
Trump said he intends to “ensure that the future of cryptography and the future of Bitcoin it will be made in America. He warned that other countries will seize the opportunity if the US does not.
Otherwise, the Trump campaign challenged Biden’s economic policy beyond crypto. In a statement to ReutersTrump campaign spokeswoman Anna Kelly described “higher prices, lower wages and a stagnant manufacturing industry” under Biden’s leadership.
Reuters noted that the city where the rally took place is the site of a controversial Foxconn factory. During his first term, Trump attributed the construction of the factory to his pro-manufacturing policies, but the site ultimately failed to provide the expected number of jobs.
Trump claimed his crypto strategy would “create opportunities for young people.”
Trump’s Past Crypto Promises
Trump’s latest pro-crypto pledges follow other similar statements. About May 8Trump called for support from the crypto community, stating: “If you are for crypto, you better vote for Trump.”
Later June 7, he promised to end “the Biden-Gensler crusade against encryption.” Trump’s statement referred to Gary Genslerthe SEC chairman appointed by the Biden administration.

Biden’s approach uncertain
Amid Trump’s more vocal support for the crypto industry, Biden’s competing campaign could shift from its supposedly tough stance toward the industry.
Biden’s campaign is allegedly seeking information of members of the crypto industry to adopt an outreach approach. And, following Trump’s opinion previous decision accept encryption via Coin base Trade, Biden campaign you will soon be able to do the same.
However, the Biden campaign has not adopted or confirmed any of the measures. So far, only anonymous sources have reported the alleged plans.
