TezDev 2024 Tezos’ annual blockchain conference returns to the Belgian capital on July 11
London, July 8, 2024 / AlexaBlockchain/ – After two successful editions full of engaging debates, TezDevThe Tezos ecosystem’s annual conference that brings together developers, project leaders, and blockchain enthusiasts returns on July 11. This free event will be held for the first time in Brussels, at the Royal Library of Belgium (KBR), a stone’s throw from the Ethereum Community Conference (ETHCC).
This event coincides with a critical period for Web3, as the MiCA regulation begins its phased implementation on June 30. According to the third annual report study According to Adan and KPMG, 2024 marks the beginning of a structured adoption of blockchain, Web3 and cryptocurrency technologies, with Europeans increasingly understanding their applications, beyond simple investment, in areas such as payments, digital identity, Digital Product Passport (DPP), the gaming industry and environmental initiatives.
TezDev: The Annual Meeting of the Tezos Ecosystem
TezDev is a day of exchanges and meetings led by the passionate blockchain and Web3 communities. This event is an opportunity to review the latest technological advances and for project leaders, creators, developers and innovators shaping Tezos to showcase their achievements within the ecosystem. In 2024, Tezos continues its technological evolution, most notably with the launch of Etherlink, a decentralized EVM compatible with Layer 2.
THE “Paris” upgrade, the sixteenth protocol upgrade, approved and activated by the community on June 5, introduced significant technological advances such as the Data Availability Layer (DAL), which significantly increases the throughput of Smart Rollups on Layer 2, unlocking new use cases in gaming, ticketing, and services that require faster transactions. Other significant improvements include reducing the time to create new blocks from 15 seconds to just 10 seconds, further reducing latency for faster transaction speeds.
