Tether (USDT) partners with Taipei Tech to advance blockchain education
Tether, the largest cryptocurrency company, has announced a new initiative aimed at improving blockchain and digital asset education in Taiwan. The company is collaborating with the National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT), also known as Taipei Tech, to develop comprehensive educational programs that will provide students with the skills and knowledge needed in this rapidly evolving field, according to Bind.
Details of the educational program
The “Blockchain & Digital Asset” educational program was initially launched at NTUT’s College of Management, attracting over 110 students. The course quickly gained popularity, prompting other universities to consider similar collaborations with Tether. The program covers a wide range of topics including blockchain technology, digital assets, Bitcoin and stablecoins, aiming to provide both technical and business perspectives.
Through this partnership, Tether will use its expertise to advance academic programs and research initiatives. The curriculum will be based on the successful course materials developed for NTUT, enriched with insights from industry experts. The program aims to prepare students for responsible and informed participation in the blockchain industry by addressing the following key areas:
- Fundamental knowledge of Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies: Comprehensive training on the basics of blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
- Development of critical thinking: Cultivate the ability to analyze and evaluate the authenticity of cryptocurrency information.
- Risk awareness and investment principles: Highlighting the high-risk nature of cryptocurrencies and promoting rational investment principles.
- Legal and regulatory training: Understand regulatory policies and the importance of compliance.
- Industry insights and career prospects: Gain first-hand industry perspectives from professionals.
Support and expansion
Over the past two years, Tether and local organizations have sponsored over 30 students and professors to attend the prestigious Plan B summer school in Lugano. This year, Tether supported 15 additional students and professors in participating in Plan B Business School. These selected professors will use their new knowledge to create tailored teaching materials for upcoming semesters.
“Tether’s education initiative aligns perfectly with these universities’ vision to provide their students with the knowledge and technical skills to promote the adoption of digital assets in Taiwan,” said Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether. “By focusing on global knowledge, Tether aims to work hand-in-hand with these prestigious universities to empower the next generation of blockchain professionals in the region.”
