Telegram Announces Mini App Store to Bolster Blockchain Business
Telegram CEO Pavel Durov has announced plans to introduce a mini app store to accelerate the adoption of blockchain and related activities.
Durov announced this news via its Telegram channel, highlighting the platform’s significant growth in blockchain-related activities in 2024. The mini app store is part of Telegram’s strategy to lead the rapidly growing sector.
Tap-to-Earn Frenzy on Telegram
Telegram’s plans come at a time of strong interest and adoption for the Telegram Mini App Market (TMA)Telegram-based tap-to-earn games have been all the rage in recent months, with Notcoin and Hamster Fight both achieved remarkable results.

“2024 will go down in history as the year hundreds of millions of people became familiar with blockchain. We are proud that Telegram is at the epicenter of this social transformation. To keep the flame alive, this month we are introducing a mini app store and an in-app browser with support for Web3 pages,” wrote Telegram’s CEO.
Telegram will help fight scammers in the cryptocurrency market
In addition to promoting blockchain adoption, Telegram aims to combat scammers and cheaters in the cryptocurrency market. This effort will involve displaying registration details such as month or country for public accounts.
“We will also step up our efforts to combat scammers trying to defraud new entrants to the cryptocurrency space. Soon, Telegram will start displaying the month of registration and primary country for public accounts (similar to Instagram). We will also allow organizations to use their mini apps to issue labels for channels, creating a decentralized marketplace for third-party verification,” Durov added.
