Sui Foundation Announces Integration of Amazon Web Service (AWS) Blockchain Node Runners on Sui
The Sui Foundation, which is committed to promoting and embracing the layer-1 blockchain of the same name, recently revealed the incorporation of Amazon Web Service (AWS) Blockchain Node Runners into Sui. This integration provides developers with a convenient solution for deploying self-managed nodes.
With this integration, developers on Sui can effortlessly set up and launch Sui full nodes on the AWS platform, leveraging AWS’s powerful cloud infrastructure that delivers exceptional availability, scalability, and reliability. With AWS Blockchain Node Runners, running blockchain nodes becomes a breeze. You can effortlessly deploy, scale, manage, and monitor secure blockchain nodes, all in one place. Starting today, Navi, a leading liquidity protocol, will use Node Runners to deploy full nodes on Sui.
Kathryn Van Nuys, Global Head of Startups in Specialized Segments at AWS, said, “AWS Blockchain Node Runners is designed to support builders at all stages of the application lifecycle, offering blueprints to meet specific requirements, from increased security and compliance to ease of deployment and monitoring. We are excited to offer these and other capabilities to enable developers to deploy and manage Sui nodes on the AWS Cloud.”
Node Runners offers a number of technical advantages for deploying blockchain nodes. It offers verified, best-in-class deployment templates to easily manage node operations across multiple locations. Ensuring high availability is a top priority, so it offers multi-node deployment options across multiple Availability Zones. The deployment code is open source and can be found on GitHub, allowing users to review it before deployment. Node Runners is designed to integrate seamlessly with the AWS Well-Architected Framework, enabling organizations to build robust, reliable, and optimized node infrastructures. Enterprises can establish secure, high-performance, and resilient node infrastructures by leveraging Node Runners. Full nodes on Sui are critical for validating on-chain activities such as transactions, checkpoints, and epoch changes. They also store stake and history to efficiently handle client queries. By delegating query handling to validator nodes, validators can prioritize transaction processing and node updates as new transactions complete.
Navi, a major player in the cryptocurrency space, recently became an early adopter of Node Runners on Sui. Today, they successfully launched their first node using the AWS service.
As part of the commitment to support Sui builders, developers, and startups using AWS Blockchain Node Runners or building on Sui, they can qualify for up to $5,000 in Activate credits. Sui Foundation recently became part of the AWS Web3 Provider program. This program offers Sui developers various benefits, including access to tools, resources, content, and credits.
Henrik Johansson, Global Head of Community at Sui Foundation, said, “The integration of AWS Node Runners on Sui marks a major step forward in scaling up blockchain infrastructure. Sui nodes are central to the operation and accessibility of Sui. This integration with AWS not only provides developers with more tools to simplify node deployment, but also financial support to use and develop on AWS.”
