Layer-1 Blockchain Tectum unveils new roadmap with exciting product launches
Tectum, recognized as the fastest layer-1 blockchain, recently shared a comprehensive update to its roadmap, introducing several innovative products, including the highly anticipated SoftNote Wallet mobile app. This detailed plan is divided into two distinct phases, each including substantial upgrades to the network and its applications, in both live and testnet environments.
The initial phase, scheduled to launch by September 1, 2024, promises several crucial upgrades. Tectum intends to implement its own private blockchain and decentralized ledger, with a core validation node consensus protocol that resembles Solana’s staking model. This phase is also intended to provide developer-oriented features, such as an API designed to connect your Light Node to the private blockchain, allowing access to the SoftNote Wallet via conventional access methods. These improvements will allow developers to create, burn, blacklist, send, and transfer ownership of custom tokens. In particular, transactions via Light Nodes will incur a nominal fee of only 0.1% of the transaction value, limited to a maximum of $1, subject to approval by the Validator Nodes and the originating Light Node.
A highlight of this phase is the launch of the SoftNote Wallet mobile app, available for both Android and iOS devices. This app will incorporate the latest wallet features, including the updated Mint House section, providing users with an improved digital asset management experience.
Second phase: Public Blockchain and developer involvement
The second phase of Tectum’s roadmap will see the introduction of its public Blockchain in Testnet mode. During this time, developers will participate in a hackathon to rigorously test various features on the world’s fastest layer-1 blockchain network. The hackathon will focus on minting and managing custom tokens, as well as creating, transferring and burning custom SoftNote invoices. To support this initiative, Tectum plans to offer access to the testnet blockchain source code, SDK, API and TectumCore.exe application, facilitating a comprehensive evaluation and optimization of the system.
Tectum’s claim to being the fastest layer 1 blockchain is underpinned by its ability to process an impressive 3.5 million transactions per second. The network uses a proof-of-utility consensus mechanism that ensures efficient transaction processing across trusted nodes. By implementing layered transaction processing, Tectum effectively mitigates traffic congestion and delays while maintaining transaction privacy through the use of zero-knowledge proofs.
Product portfolio and technological advantage
Among Tectum’s flagship products is SoftNote Wallet, which offers users a perfect interface for managing digital assets. Additionally, SoftNote bills enhance the utility of Bitcoin by enabling frictionless transactions. Another notable product is X-Factor Authenticator, a robust quantum-proof three-factor authentication protocol designed to provide superior security.
Tectum is the brainchild of Crispmind, an established intellectual property and software development company. Crispmind has a proven track record of developing secure messaging, user authentication, blockchain, distributed ledger and cryptocurrency solutions, catering to both private enterprises and government institutions. The company’s dedication to innovation and simplicity is evident in its mission to provide simple solutions to complex digital challenges, enabling individuals and businesses to thrive in the evolving digital landscape.
This strategic roadmap highlights Tectum’s commitment to pioneering advances in blockchain technology, strengthening its leading position in the industry. Upcoming product launches and network upgrades are poised to enhance Tectum’s capabilities and reach, driving further adoption and innovation in the blockchain space.
