Gunzilla Gamesa Web3 game studio and developer of the GUNZ blockchain, announced that it has integrated Fire blocksan enterprise platform for building blockchain applications and managing digital asset operations in its infrastructure.
As part of the integration, institutional holders of GUN tokens and GUNZ Validator NFTs will be able to hold and manage their assets through the Fireblocks platform. GUNZ Validator NFTs allow players to mint new NFTs (non-fungible tokens) in the game, while alidators earn fees in the native GUN token for minting and exchanging transactions.
Additionally, Fireblocks’ non-custodial enterprise wallets-as-a-service (WaaS) will integrate with GUNZ, providing a non-custodial option for all existing and future GUNZ Wallet users. This will allow GUNZ users to maintain full ownership of their game assets across all games based on the GUNZ chain. To date, GUNZ boasts over 800,000 wallets on its testnet.
Vlad Korolov, CEO of Gunzilla Games, said in a statement: “We are excited to announce the completion of the integration of GUNZ with Fireblocks. This will open the door for institutional clients to manage their GUN tokens and GUNZ Validator NFTs with Fireblocks’ leading enterprise-grade platform with multi-layered security. The integration also provides a non-custodial option for GUNZ users, strengthening the in-game digital economy offering on GUNZ. We are proud to work with Fireblocks to provide this critical building block as we create a new standard for blockchain-enabled gaming.”

GUNZ is a blockchain-based digital economy platform built on a custom Avalanche subnet, allowing game developers to build player-driven economies with full player ownership of in-game assets, such as tradable NFTs. The first project to launch on GUNZ will be Gunzilla Games’ highly anticipated cyberpunk-style battle royale Off The Grid, which releases on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S this year.
The Gunzilla SDK and white label components will be available to other game developers looking to launch their game projects on GUNZ.
Omer Amsel, head of Web3 at Fireblocks, said in a statement: “We are pleased to work with Gunzilla Games to create a seamless Web3 onboarding experience for Web2 users and provide a secure environment for player assets. By integrating Fireblocks’ non-custodial wallets into the GUNZ platform, players have complete ownership of their game assets, providing them with full autonomy to easily buy, sell or trade in-game items and enhancing the overall gaming experience.
The news follows Gunzilla Games’ integration with OpenSea and a recent $30 million funding round co-led by CoinFund and Avalanche Foundation’s Blizzard Fund, with participation from Republic Capital and Morningstar Ventures.
Founded in 2020, Kiev-based Gunzilla Games is the developer and publisher of the Battle Royale game Off The Grid.
