  • Layer-2 blockchain Fhenix will host a developer-focused event next month in early July alongside EthCC that will explore the practical applications of FHE, ZK, and MPC within the Ethereum ecosystem.
  • Encryption Day at Ace Events in Brussels will feature Justin Drake from the Ethereum Foundation and Ed Felten from Arbitrum as keynote speakers, along with experts from Fhenix, Zama, StarkWare and more.

PhoenixLayer 2 fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) blockchain has announced Encryption Day scheduled for next month, July 9, as a side event at EthCC in Bressels. This will be a one-day developer event that will detail practical ways to use FHE, ZK, and MPc within the Ethereum ecosystem.

On the second day of the crypto event, Ethereum developers interested in building robust on-chain privacy solutions can collaborate and network. The two-day event has already seen a total of 1,100 people, thus forming the pre-eminent gathering for developers interested in cryptography and encryption.

Fhenix pioneers Ethereum Layer 2 technology by integrating fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) for confidential smart contracts. This new cryptographic approach enables computation on encrypted data. Fhenix supports Solidity for smart contract development, ensuring compatibility with EVM and offering selective encryption options with FHE.

Fhenix aims to improve Ethereum application development by introducing privacy features into smart contracts, transactions, and on-chain assets, marking a significant advancement in blockchain technology.

The Encryption Day event will serve as a side event to EthCC, which is the annual Ethereum community conference scheduled for July 8-11 in Brussels. It will include workshops, talks, and panel discussions that will involve key knowledge transfer on potential use cases and key innovations of the Ethereum blockchain network, such as reported by Crypto News Flash.

Key Items Scheduled for Fhenix Crypto Event

Encryption Day, hosted at Ace Events in Av. d’Auderghem 22 in Brussels, will feature leading experts in the field. Keynote speakers include Justin Drake of the Ethereum Foundation and Ed Felten of Arbitrum. Representatives from Fhenix, Zama, StarkWare, RISC Zero, ZKSync, Gauntlet and Aztec will also be present.

The seven-hour event will feature talks and panels on cryptography within the Ethereum ecosystem. Topics include Secure and Confidential AI from Fhenix, a panel on ZK versus FHE technology with Polygon and ZKSync, and discussions on Encrypted Mempools and Confidential DeFi. Attendees can expect insights into the privacy innovations and cryptography trends shaping the future of Ethereum.

Encryption Day welcomes developers, crypto enthusiasts, and blockchain enthusiasts who are passionate about privacy. Limited places are still available for interested participants.

Earlier this month, Fhenix secured $15 million in Series A funding. Hack VC led the round, along with Dao5, Amber Group, Primitive, GSR, Collider, and Stake Capital. With this funding, Fhenix’s total raised reaches $22 million. The investment will power the launch of Helium, Fhenix’s open testnet, allowing developers to deploy smart contracts on the platform, according to CNF relationship.
