Starting from the front post, Bender pushed for the lead after a :26.2 first quarter to pocket Muskateer Hanover (led by Tony Hall) and drag Rocks Shining Star (Jack Killeen) past the stands for the first time. Odds On Blockchain maintained its momentum past a time of :54.2 but soon faced a ferocious blitz from Rocks Shining Star on the back, who then pinned Odds On Blockchain in the three-quarter pocket in 1:21.1. Rocks Shining Star cruised through the final turn as Odds On Blockchain loomed over his foe’s helmet and leaned wide to take the lead amid the effort towards a neck-and-neck victory. The Hanover Musketeer streaked across the pylons to take second from Rocks Shining Star with Saddle Up (Marvin Luna) taking fourth.

Odds On Blockchain, 5 year old gelding by JK Endofanera, won his 13th race in 54 starts and has now earned $179,311. Erv Miller trains $15.92 winner for owner Doug Overhiser.

Hungry For Love (Joey Putnam) then emerged from the Kentucky Sire Stakes and scored a top-notch victory in the final round of the $36,000 Fillies & Mares Open Pace.

Putnam pushed Hungry For Love to the front through a :26.1 first quarter before settling for the pocket behind Sweet Charlie (Atlee Bender) with one round remaining. Sweet Charlie got to midfield in :55 as Ainthesamewithoutu (Tony Hall) rushed from behind to the rim to battle for the lead. It’s the same landless to get a head in front while under a tight grip from Hall despite Sweet Charlie keeping her three-quarters parked in 1:23. Sweet Charlie steadied himself through the final turn as Ainthesamewithoutu took the lead in the spin for home, but Putnam passed Sweet Charlie and the pylons to late charge for the lead. Hungry For Love made it through and took the win with a nose on beam over Ainthesamewithoutu while Southwind Bella (Brandon Bates) finished third and Sweet Charlie settled for fourth.

Ron Burke trains Hungry For Love, a 4-year-old mare Be hungry, for owners Thomas and Scott Dillon. He won his 14th race in 38 starts, has now earned $450,366 and paid $3.12 to win.

The Anette Lorentzon team shone on Monday with three victories in 13 races. Lorentzon scored a quick double with Seeuontheotherside ($2.44) and Mister Dad ($6.08) then she later sealed the hat-trick with a win by Sprinter N ($3.02).

Live racing will resume at Oak Grove on Tuesday (May 21) at 3pm and will feature a carryover in the final Super High-5 race worth $1,383.05.
